Gun Facts Australia Coalition
Welcome to the Gun Facts Australia Coalition.
Our Mission is;
- to speak the truth about gun control;
- to make Australia a safer place by correcting the harmful misinformation peddled by biased anti-gun zealots;
- to provide a resource for those who share “our beliefs”.
“Our Beliefs”
We believe;
- Firearm laws that do not reduce the general level of violence (whether with firearms or other or no weapons) are useless. But worse than useless, Australian firearm controls are actually a danger to the community because they are a waste of crime fighting resources. Police resources should be directed at criminals, not squandered against law abiding firearm owners.
- Law abiding Australians have an inalienable right to self defence, to be safe and not fear being victims of robbers, rapists, terrorists and thrill killers.
- If handguns were available to police background checked, well trained, competent, law abiding Australians then even those who chose not to be armed would be protected, because potential attackers could never be sure who was armed and who was not.
- Permits to acquire and the registration of ordinary sporting, Category A and B firearms for already licensed shooters are a futile waste of resources with no demonstrable benefit.
GFA Coalition Not an Association or Formal Partnership
Gun Facts Australia Coalition is NOT a formal association or partnership with rules, membership fees and a paid hierarchy doing the work. We are definitely not a debating society. The GFA Coalition automatically consists of all Australians and organisations that share “our beliefs” AND work to achieve our mission.
